Associate State Product Manager (Personal Lines)

Location: Remote within any of the lower 48 U.S. states

Salary: $88,000–$164,000 national annual range; expected starting range of $88,000–$132,000

What you will do

• Support state-specific Personal Lines strategies through financial planning, rate reviews, and market development initiatives.
• Analyze product performance, pricing, underwriting trends, market dynamics, competitor data, and risks.
• Prepare planning documents and materials for monthly and quarterly state performance meetings.
• Coordinate cross-functional initiatives with Marketing, Operations, Claims, Pricing, Underwriting, Legal, IT, and Product Development.
• Track project timelines to support speed-to-market for product updates and enhancements.
• Present analytical findings and recommendations to State Managers and internal stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in insurance, actuarial science, mathematics, risk management, economics, finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field preferred.
• Six years of experience in underwriting or product preferred, with data analysis or cross-functional experience valued.
• Knowledge of insurance products and pricing architecture, state regulations, underwriting procedures, financials, trend analysis, and competitor data.
• Proficiency with analytical tools, relational databases, data visualization, query-based languages, or statistical software.
• Ability to communicate insights, solve problems, manage ambiguity, and lead projects across competing priorities and timelines.
• Must be located in one of the lower 48 U.S. states.

Nice to have

• Progress toward or completion of CPCU, AU, CIC, INS, ARM, actuarial exams, or similar designations.
• Property and casualty industry experience, especially in state management.
