Principal Infrastructure Architect (Cloud)

Location: Canada — remote

What you will do

• Lead the public cloud infrastructure practice and act as a trusted technical advisor across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Guide customers through cloud adoption, migration, infrastructure, networking, security, data enablement, and microservices initiatives.
• Identify and implement AI and LLM use cases that simplify infrastructure delivery and automate architectural workflows.
• Oversee project teams to align technical outcomes with customer business needs, budgets, timelines, and delivery quality.
• Support pre-sales, statements of work, account management, scope management, and customer escalations.
• Manage and develop approximately five Architects and Engineers through feedback, goal setting, and performance support.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in a relevant information technology environment.
• 5+ years delivering professional services as a Principal Consultant or equivalent infrastructure leadership role.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP infrastructure adoption, enterprise and SMB cloud migration, IaaS, networking, and security.
• Experience with public cloud data platforms, analytics infrastructure, microservices adoption, Infrastructure as Code, and cloud cost optimization.
• Experience using AI tools and LLMs to automate repetitive architectural tasks and improve productivity.
• Experience presenting to CxO and VP-level audiences, managing complex projects, supporting pre-sales, handling escalations, modeling costs, and leading technical teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Fabric, Synapse, AKS, Azure Container Apps, Terraform, Bicep, and Active Directory.
• Strong emotional intelligence, listening skills, and a coaching-oriented leadership style.
