Principal Consultant (Cloud)

Location: Canada — Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, Oakville, Vancouver, British Columbia, New Brunswick, or Saskatchewan. Ability to travel domestically up to 15%.

Salary: CAD 158,720–198,400 annually, plus 20% target incentives.

What you will do

• Serve as the senior technical authority for multi-cloud engagements across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Lead complex cloud migrations, modernizations, cloud-native builds, governance programs, and security frameworks.
• Advise C-level and VP-level stakeholders, define transformation roadmaps, and support pre-sales activities including workshops, business cases, RFPs, and statements of work.
• Own engagement scope, quality, timelines, delivery risks, client communications, and profitability.
• Review architecture and deployment deliverables and guide provider-selection decisions based on workload fit, cost, compliance, and strategy.
• Mentor architects and consultants and contribute to hiring, onboarding, and Cloud practice development.

Requirements

• 12+ years of progressive enterprise IT experience, including 5+ years leading multidisciplinary teams on complex client engagements.
• Experience spanning pre-sales solution design, full-lifecycle delivery ownership, and engagement financial oversight.
• Fluency across AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud, including migrations, cloud-native architecture, multi-cloud governance, landing zones, IaaS/PaaS, and hybrid cloud.
• Strong knowledge of cloud security, identity and access management, compliance controls, infrastructure as code, and automation tools including Terraform, Bicep, CloudFormation, and Ansible.
• Required active certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, and Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

Nice to have

• AWS DevOps Engineer Professional and AWS Security Specialty certifications.
• Azure DevOps Engineer Expert and additional Google Cloud security or DevOps certifications.
• Certifications in AI/ML cloud services and a master’s degree in a technical or business discipline.
