Executive Recruiter (Fintech)

Location: Chicago, IL; Menlo Park, CA; or New York, NY, with in-person attendance expected at least 3 days per week

Base pay: $149,000–$175,000 USD in Zone 1; $131,000–$154,000 USD in Zone 2; $116,000–$137,000 USD in Zone 3, plus bonus opportunities, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Partner with executives and hiring leaders to define leadership profiles and tailored search and assessment strategies.
• Lead complex executive searches across multiple business functions.
• Build relationships with passive executive candidates through research, outreach, networking, and long-term engagement.
• Develop talent pipelines supporting immediate hiring, succession planning, and organizational priorities.
• Use search metrics, outreach data, and pipeline health checks to optimize recruiting strategies.
• Advise hiring leaders on market conditions, candidate quality, search challenges, and closing considerations.

Requirements

• 7+ years of recruiting experience, including direct management of complex senior-level or executive searches.
• Experience with executive talent communities, succession planning, market mapping, competitive intelligence, and talent pipelining.
• Strong executive presence, stakeholder influence, judgment, discretion, and organizational skills.
• Ability to assess leadership talent beyond résumé qualifications, including scope, impact, operating style, motivations, and organizational fit.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for personalized executive outreach.
• Ability to manage multiple complex searches and shifting priorities.
