Consultant, Product Staff - E&S/Specialty (Property)

Location: Remote within any of the lower 48 U.S. states

Salary: $108,000–$200,000 annual national range; expected starting range of $108,000–$162,000

What you will do

• Design, develop, implement, and manage excess and surplus and specialty property insurance products and programs.
• Create and maintain rates and rules manuals, regulatory filings, forms, endorsements, and product documentation.
• Monitor ISO changes, state requirements, Department of Insurance objections, competitors, and market trends.
• Lead new product, program, business development, and implementation projects.
• Analyze pricing, product features, performance, profitability, and opportunities for improvement.
• Partner with underwriting, actuarial, pricing, legal, finance, marketing, claims, and operations teams on product strategy and implementation.

Requirements

• Six years of experience in personal or commercial lines insurance, including underwriting, marketing, product management, or a comparable area.
• Commercial insurance experience; excess and surplus or specialty lines experience is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of insurance products, underwriting practices, pricing, financial analysis, regulatory agencies, competitors, and performance measurement.
• Experience with analytical tools and product-related platforms such as State Filings, AM BestCore, Verisk, Mozart, Reference Connect, or ODEN is preferred.
• Ability to lead projects, manage long-term initiatives, make decisions under ambiguity, and communicate strategic recommendations.
• This role does not qualify for employer-sponsored work authorization, and hirify.global does not participate in the STEM OPT Extension program.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree or graduate studies in insurance, actuarial science, mathematics, risk management, economics, finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field.
• Insurance licenses or designations such as CPCU, ARM, ASLI, AU, or INS.
