Head of Finance (Fintech)

Location: Lisbon, Portugal (Hybrid)

A global fintech company operating financial products and payment infrastructure across the EU, US, UK, and emerging markets.

What you will do

• Own the design and implementation of financial data logic connecting payment and transaction data with core reporting systems.
• Partner with Product Owners to build pricing, unit economics, margin, volume, and profitability models.
• Consolidate product-level P&Ls, balance sheets, and cash flow data into group-level management reporting.
• Support annual budgeting, quarterly rolling forecasts, variance tracking, cost control, and intercompany funding allocations.
• Maintain tax and regulatory reporting calendars and support local compliance reviews across active jurisdictions.
• Prepare documentation, schedules, and reconciliations for external audits and advisory partners.

Requirements

• 4–7 years of relevant finance experience, such as Financial Analyst, FinOps Manager, or Senior Accountant.
• Experience in fintech, payments, or multi-market SaaS is preferred.
• Strong expertise in financial data mapping, ERP or accounting systems, and advanced financial modeling.
• Hands-on experience with unit economics, pricing frameworks, and product margin analysis.
• Familiarity with AI tools and automation software for financial reporting.
• Knowledge of cross-border operations, IFRS or GAAP standards, statutory audits, and fluent English communication.
