TL;DR
Fixed Assets Specialist (Finance): Managing global fixed asset accounting, reporting, and compliance across Europe, North America, ANZ, and LATAM with an accent on asset lifecycle control, reconciliations, and US GAAP and IFRS compliance. Focus on supporting audits, improving SAP-enabled processes, automating finance activities, and maintaining accurate capitalization, depreciation, and disposal records.
Location: Mindelo, Porto, Portugal; hybrid

What you will do
- Manage fixed asset close activities and reporting across global regions.
- Maintain asset records, classifications, additions, transfers, disposals, and write-offs.
- Monitor assets under construction, capitalization, depreciation, amortization, and journal entries.
- Reconcile the fixed asset subledger with the general ledger.
- Support audits, tax reporting, and physical asset verifications.
- Contribute to process automation, SAP enhancements, and finance improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience.
- Knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, depreciation methodologies, SOX, and financial controls.
- Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP, and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Professional English communication skills.
- Authorization to work in Portugal is required.
Nice to have
- Experience in a multinational company or shared service environment.
- Knowledge of CAPEX management and capital project accounting.
- Experience with finance systems, process improvement, ERP implementations, or process harmonization.
