Location: Porto, Portugal — hybrid workplace

What you will do
- Prepare and post accurate, timely accounting entries.
- Support monthly and year-end closing activities.
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and investigate reconciling items.
- Assist with tax returns, statutory reporting, and internal and external audit documentation.
- Perform accounting controls and SOX activities in line with established procedures.
- Analyse accounting data, resolve discrepancies, maintain records, and contribute to process standardisation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in accounting or financial reporting.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and strong analytical and attention-to-detail skills.
- Strong Excel skills; experience with ERP systems is an advantage.
- Fluent English, both written and spoken.
- Good communication, teamwork, organisation, and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of IFRS.
- Experience with SOX controls.
