Mechanical Engineer (Fusion Power)

Salary: $182,000–$214,000 per year

What you will do

• Own and improve requirements for fluid, thermal, and structural subsystem designs.
• Design novel fusion hardware in 3D CAD software such as NX.
• Perform engineering analysis using internal and external tools, including ANSYS Fluent.
• Lead design reviews, incorporate feedback, and iterate designs into functioning systems.
• Work hands-on with technicians to implement hardware designs.
• Troubleshoot hardware issues on integrated fusion generators.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering.
• 7+ years of professional experience delivering full-scope engineering projects, including schedule ownership.
• Experience applying engineering first principles and method-based thinking to challenging problems.
• Hands-on experience across fluids, mechanical, and thermal engineering disciplines.
• Advanced experience with CAD software such as NX or SolidWorks.
• Ability to work on-site in Everett, Washington.
