Focus on creating detailed engineering documentation, supporting design verification and qualification against aerospace standards, and improving product performance, manufacturability, and cost.

What you will do

  • Lead mechanical design activities for aerospace electronic engine controllers, electronic control units, enclosures, and associated hardware.
  • Develop concept designs, 3D models, detailed drawings, and engineering documentation using Siemens NX and Teamcenter.
  • Apply GD&T principles and perform tolerance stack-up analysis.
  • Prepare and review test plans, test procedures, material reports, FMEA, and DFMEA documentation.
  • Collaborate with Stress, Thermal, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Test, and Systems Engineering teams.
  • Support design reviews, verification, qualification, work-package delivery, and improvements to performance, manufacturability, and cost.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent military experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience in aerospace mechanical design or electronic enclosure design.
  • Experience with Electronic Engine Controllers or similar aerospace electronic units.
  • Strong proficiency in Siemens NX 7.5, Teamcenter 8, and PLM tools.
  • Strong understanding of GD&T, tolerance stack analysis, and mechanical design methodologies.
  • Experience producing engineering documentation to RTCA DO-160 and/or MIL standards; aerospace industry experience is essential.

  • Knowledge of advanced and modern manufacturing techniques.
  • Experience with gas turbine, propulsion, or engine control systems.
  • Understanding of qualification and verification processes in regulated environments.
