What you will do

• Design turbomachinery components including shafts, casings, brackets, and seals using 3D CAD and 2D engineering drawings.
• Apply GD&T and tolerance stack-up principles to ensure manufacturing precision.
• Perform high-fidelity stress, deformation, and fatigue assessments (LCF/HCF) of engine components.
• Support rotor assembly design, bearing integration, and housing design.
• Implement Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles and coordinate directly with manufacturing teams.
• Support engine build and rig testing activities, including root cause analysis (RCA) for failures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
• 4–7 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably within turbomachinery.
• Proficiency in CAD tools such as CATIA, NX, or similar.
• Experience using basic FEA tools like ANSYS.
• Strong understanding of mechanical design fundamentals, stress/fatigue behavior, and rotating machinery concepts.

Nice to have

• Specific experience in gas turbines or turbojet engines.
• Exposure to bearings, lubrication systems, and sealing/clearance control.
• Experience supporting testing or prototype builds.
