Consultant, Cybersecurity (Agentic Solutions Engineer)

Location: Hybrid schedule in Columbus, Ohio; Des Moines, Iowa; or Scottsdale, Arizona, two days per week. Remote internal associates may also be considered. The position may be filled within the lower 48 U.S. states.

Salary: $118,000–$178,000 expected starting annual salary range; national range $118,000–$222,000.

What you will do

• Design, build, and operate production-grade agentic cyber security solutions using approved models, agent frameworks, enterprise data, and integrated tools.
• Own agent behavior, orchestration, prompt and context patterns, retrieval design, evaluation strategy, and workflow implementation.
• Build human-in-the-loop steps, exception paths, quality controls, telemetry, and regression detection into agent workflows.
• Translate security operations needs into deterministic and agent-assisted workflows in collaboration with cyber security, platform, architecture, and operations stakeholders.
• Improve cyber security detection and alerting, automate event enrichment and response, and support production troubleshooting.
• Contribute to vulnerability management, incident response, threat hunting, purple teaming, red teaming, and MITRE ATT&CK-based cyber defense activities.

Requirements

• Typically six years of technology experience, including four years in cyber security.
• Strong software engineering skills, including advanced Python and working knowledge of Java or TypeScript; scripting with PowerShell, Bash, and Windows Batch.
• Experience building LLM-powered or agentic applications, including evaluation design, prompt and context design, tool integration, retrieval, search, memory, and knowledge grounding.
• Experience integrating APIs, files, enterprise data, and workflow systems, with knowledge of secure design, testing, evaluation, and release practices.
• Experience with Windows and Linux/Unix systems, network configurations and protocols, web and network security, firewalls, vulnerability management, and cyber security operations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to collaborate with architecture, security, platform, and cyber security operations stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Security Operations experience.
• Undergraduate studies in cyber security, computer science, engineering, mathematics, data analytics, or a comparable field.
• Graduate studies or certifications such as CISSP, CEH, GCIH, CCSP, AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, or AZ-500.
• Insurance or financial services industry knowledge.
