Sr. Engineer, AI - AI Detection and Response (AIDR) (Hybrid)

Location: Sunnyvale, California, United States; hybrid, with 2–3 days per week on-site

Base salary: $140,000–$215,000 per year, plus potential bonuses, equity grants, and benefits.

Cybersecurity company developing an AI-native platform that protects organizations and processes nearly 3 trillion events per day.

What you will do

• Architect and deliver scalable AI features, applications, and agents for cybersecurity products.
• Research, compare, prototype, and implement production-quality solutions across cloud platforms.
• Design solutions, present architecture, gather feedback, and iterate toward implementation.
• Build high-quality, performant, testable code with unit and functional tests.
• Build and maintain dashboards for feature efficacy and production performance metrics.
• Explain solutions to internal audiences and customers when needed.

Requirements

• 6+ years of combined experience as a cloud application developer.
• 4+ years of experience implementing generative AI applications and features.
• Expert-level knowledge of Go and/or Python.
• Deep understanding of at least two cloud infrastructure platforms or services, including AWS, GCP, Azure, or OCI.
• Moderate to expert knowledge of Kubernetes.
• Experience building applications on Azure, Microsoft Copilot, and AI agents.

Nice to have

• Experience in cybersecurity companies or security products.
• Deep understanding of the security landscape, especially AI security.
