Associate Consultant (Generative AI)

Location: San Francisco, USA; consultants in primary market offices are expected to live within commuting distance and attend the office at least three days per week.

Annual base salary: $84,000–$122,000, plus an annual discretionary performance bonus.

What you will do

• Design, build, fine-tune, deploy, and evaluate LLM and generative AI solutions for client use cases.
• Develop GenAI-powered applications using models such as Claude, GPT, Gemini, Llama, and Mistral.
• Implement RAG architectures, advanced prompt-engineering techniques, agents, and model integrations.
• Support scalable, secure, compliant solution architecture and integrate applications with cloud platforms, APIs, and existing systems.
• Apply MLOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, versioning, monitoring, and production maintenance.
• Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders, document methodologies, and contribute to GenAI research and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; recent graduate within the last two years in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or an equivalent field.
• Strong Python programming skills and familiarity with at least one GenAI framework, such as LangChain or LlamaIndex.
• Foundational knowledge of NLP, vector embeddings, and semantic search, plus exposure to AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Claude Certified Architect – Foundations certification is required, or candidates must demonstrate the ability to obtain it within one week of hire.
• Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
• Employment visa or work authorization sponsorship is not available, including H-1B, F-1/OPT, STEM OPT, and TN sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree.
• Experience building agentic AI systems with LangGraph or AutoGen.
• Familiarity with vector databases, MCP, Docker, Git, and CI/CD workflows.
• Hands-on experience fine-tuning open-source LLMs.
