What you will do

• Lead and sustain the facility’s Safety, Health, and Environmental programs.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA 1910/1926 regulations, permits, hirify.global standards, and applicable environmental requirements.
• Monitor KPIs, audits, inspections, field observations, and corrective actions to improve program effectiveness.
• Investigate accidents, near misses, first-aid cases, recordable incidents, vehicle incidents, and contractor incidents.
• Manage safety training, contractor compliance, occupational health, medical surveillance, and safety records.
• Partner with operations, maintenance, facility leadership, contractors, and cross-functional teams to strengthen safety culture.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Safety, Occupational Health, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent industrial experience may be considered.
• Two to four or more years of occupational health and safety experience, preferably in heavy industrial, manufacturing, power generation, utility, chemical processing, recycling, or materials recovery environments.
• Working knowledge of OSHA 1910, OSHA 1926, and applicable state safety regulations.
• Experience supporting industrial operations and maintenance activities.
• Strong leadership, coaching, communication, analytical, problem-solving, and prioritization skills.
• Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces, wear a full-face respirator, lift up to 50 pounds, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Nice to have

• Professional safety certification such as ASP, CSP, OHST, or CHST.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
