Supply Specialist (Aerospace)

Location: Onsite in Buffalo, NY, with an opportunity for hybrid work; the role is located in East Aurora, NY.

Salary: $70,000–$90,000 hourly.

hirify.global’s Military Aircraft Group develops and supports aerospace systems and manufacturing operations for military aircraft.

What you will do

• Manage assigned suppliers end to end, converting demand signals into purchase orders under contractual terms and company processes.
• Create sole-source justifications, price analyses, and purchase order documentation supporting government and DFAR compliance.
• Develop procurement replenishment strategies and manage supply chain master settings, including demand-driven buffer strategies.
• Communicate with suppliers to improve delivery commitments and maintain current supply information.
• Lead cross-functional investigations into supply chain problems, supplier non-conformances, and return-to-vendor activities.
• Coordinate with logistics, receiving inspection, strategic sourcing, finance, planning, engineering, and other hirify.global sites to resolve delivery, quality, allocation, and billing issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in supply chain, business, engineering, or accounting, plus at least 3 years of relevant supply chain procurement experience; or an associate’s degree plus at least 5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with purchase order placement and negotiations involving external customers or suppliers.
• Knowledge of procurement processes, including RFQ/RFP requirements, quality assurance, customer flow-down requirements, parts scheduling, and DDMRP inputs.
• Ability to follow supply chain regulations and procedures, manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and communicate effectively across organizational levels.
• Knowledge of hirify.global systems such as MBS, TIPQA, Power BI, and Rapid Response.
• Access to United States export-controlled information is required, and United States work authorization is required.

Nice to have

• Certification in purchasing, supply chain, or program management.
• APICS or another industry-standard certification.
• Engineering or technical background.
