Supply Chain Specialist III

Location: Hybrid in Waltham, Massachusetts, with 4 days onsite.

Salary: $90,000–$100,000 per year.

What you will do

• Plan material requirements, schedule purchase orders, and maintain accurate MRP parameters, item masters, lead times, and ordering policies.
• Manage inventory levels, replenishment methods, lot sizing, inventory turns, and slow-moving materials to support production schedules.
• Develop supplier relationships, negotiate agreements, evaluate proposals, and monitor quality, delivery, service, and pricing performance.
• Resolve shortages, shipping delays, receiving issues, returns, nonconforming materials, and supplier invoicing issues with Distribution, Supplier Quality, Finance, and other teams.
• Partner with Engineering on component sourcing and Engineering Change Orders while supporting Quality Assurance and audit activities.
• Prepare purchasing reports, track supply chain metrics, support process improvements, and contribute to Purchasing team development.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years of manufacturing purchasing, planning, and inventory management experience.
• Experience with MRP systems and purchasing management systems; SAP experience is preferred.
• Strong supplier management, negotiation, analytical, problem-solving, communication, and decision-making skills.
• Advanced computer skills with extensive Microsoft Excel experience.
• Ability to work in a hybrid office and manufacturing environment in Waltham, Massachusetts, with 4 days onsite.

Nice to have

• SAP experience.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing, Kanban inventory management, supply chain best practices, and supplier capabilities.
