IT System Administrator (AI Manufacturing)

Location: Full-time onsite in Hawthorne, California, five days per week; the role requires occasional weekend maintenance support and participation in an on-call rotation.

Salary: $80,000–$100,000 per year, plus significant stock options.

What you will do

• Provide day-to-day helpdesk and desktop support across Windows and Linux environments.
• Deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot on-premise infrastructure, including bare metal servers, virtualization platforms, SAN storage, and network fabric.
• Administer Active Directory, Azure AD/Entra ID, Intune, application packaging, configuration profiles, and GPOs.
• Support LAN, WiFi, switching, cabling, wireless access points, AV systems, and video conferencing.
• Handle onboarding and offboarding, account provisioning, hardware setup, access management, asset inventories, and license assignments.
• Document system architecture, network topology, procedures, workflows, and fixes while supporting larger infrastructure projects.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in system administration.
• Hands-on experience with on-premise infrastructure, including bare metal servers, virtualization, SAN storage, and networking.
• Experience administering Windows systems and working familiarity with Linux.
• Experience with Active Directory, Azure AD/Entra ID, Intune, application packaging, and GPOs.
• Experience setting up and troubleshooting AV and video conferencing systems.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs., climb ladders, work at height, and operate a scissor lift; willingness to join an on-call rotation and work occasional weekends.

Nice to have

• Kubernetes, Ansible, PowerShell DSC, cloud platforms, Grafana, Prometheus, or scripting with Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Experience supporting Siemens Teamcenter and engineering applications such as CAD packages, MATLAB, or Visual Studio.
• Familiarity with CMMC and NIST 800-171 compliance requirements.
• Experience in engineering environments and strong documentation habits.
