Energy Storage Project Engineer (EV Charging)

What you will do

• Generate conceptual and schematic design packages for project sites.
• Review and approve conceptual, schematic, development, permit, and construction design packages.
• Lead external engineering partners and quality-check their work across a fast-moving project portfolio.
• Interpret utility and Authority Having Jurisdiction requirements and ensure compliant designs.
• Respond to technical design inquiries from customers, consultants, contractors, utilities, and permitting authorities.
• Support utility and AHJ requirements documentation and contractor proposal evaluation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or 8+ years of directly related professional experience.
• 3–5+ years of experience in project-based design management, preferably in renewable energy, EV charging infrastructure, or power grids.
• At least 2 years of construction project design specification development and management.
• At least 3 years of experience managing third-party engineering consultants.
• At least 3 years of creating, editing, and commenting in CAD tools, with expertise in AutoCAD.
• Ability to work remotely from the United States.

Nice to have

• At least 1 year of EV charging infrastructure project design experience.
• Familiarity with Procore and Bluebeam.
