Oracle Database and Application Support Analyst

Location: Remote or hybrid in the United Kingdom, subject to location; pre-existing right to work and travel within the UK required.

What you will do

• Support Oracle database and application environments for more than 100 customers.
• Apply software updates, perform technology upgrades, install new software, and troubleshoot related issues.
• Review metrics and address database performance and backup concerns.
• Deploy and support Apache Tomcat-based web applications.
• Communicate with customers through video, telephone, and email while providing practical solutions.
• Collaborate with Networks, UNIX, Cloud Operations, and other IT support teams, identifying opportunities for automation and process improvement.

Requirements

• Experience managing Oracle databases, including upgrades for single-instance environments.
• Experience installing and maintaining software on Solaris, Linux, or Windows Server.
• Experience with Oracle performance diagnostics using STATSPACK and OCI Analytics.
• Familiarity with ITSM processes and tools such as ServiceNow, Ivanti, or similar platforms.
• Eligibility for UK Security Clearance and pre-existing right to work and travel within the UK are required.
• Offers are subject to satisfactory vetting and reference checks.

Nice to have

• Apache Web Server configuration and management experience.
• Unix shell scripting and Ansible automation experience.
• Scripted database and software backup and recovery experience.
• Microsoft IIS and network architecture knowledge.
• Oracle Certification.
