TL;DR

Lead Hardware Engineer (Security Devices): Designing reliable circuits and PCB layouts for Ajax security devices, from concept through mass production, with an accent on architecture, power management, compliance, and manufacturing scalability. Focus on leading complex hardware projects, debugging bring-up issues, optimizing hardware-software interfaces, and solving signal and power integrity challenges.

Location: Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam; hybrid workplace

What you will do

Design circuit architectures, schematics, and PCB layouts for new Ajax devices.
Lead hardware projects from concept through mass production of more than 10,000 units per month.
Optimize cost, performance, component standardization, and manufacturing yield.
Lead prototype bring-up, debug complex issues, and define design-validation testing protocols.
Consult firmware and supply chain teams on hardware-software integration and manufacturing optimization.
Mentor the team on high-performance hardware design methodologies.

Requirements

Expertise in circuit-element calculations and high-fidelity device simulations.
Professional proficiency in Altium Designer, including managed libraries and 3D modeling.
Experience designing for LVD and EMC compliance, DFM, DFT, and mass manufacturing.
Deep experience with battery-powered and mains-powered devices using 85–265 VAC.
Ability to prepare BOMs, Gerber files, assembly drawings, and other production documentation using Git.
Fluent English is required for technical documentation and international collaboration.

Nice to have

Experience working directly with vendors and manufacturers on high-volume production.
Advanced knowledge of signal integrity, power integrity, S-parameters, PDN impedance modeling, and TDR measurements.
Experience writing or reviewing embedded software in C/C++ and STM32 for debugging and hardware-software co-design.
Experience guiding products through UL, CE, and RED certifications.
