Head of Finance (SaaS)

Location: On-site in San Francisco, California

Salary: $265,000–$365,000 per year plus equity

What you will do

• Build and own the company operating model, forecasts, budgets, and budget-versus-actual reporting.
• Prepare board and investor reporting and support fundraise readiness.
• Partner with Sales and Operations on pricing, packaging, and deal economics.
• Own treasury, runway planning, monthly close, payroll, billing reconciliation, tax, and compliance.
• Manage accounting through an outsourced partner and establish the internal finance function.
• Scope and hire the finance team.

Requirements

• 8+ years of progressive finance experience, including leadership at a high-growth SaaS company with $10M–$100M ARR.
• Experience building and owning a driver-based operating model.
• Experience producing board or investor materials.
• Deep understanding of usage-based billing and hybrid product-led and sales-led revenue models.
• Experience building a finance function from scratch and completing a fundraise or major diligence process.
• Strong controllership knowledge with the ability to hire and manage accounting talent.

Nice to have

• Multi-entity or subsidiary accounting experience.
• Experience selecting and implementing a modern finance stack.
• CPA or equivalent accounting depth.
