Simulator Technician III (Flight Simulation)

Location: Gatwick, United Kingdom, based at the Diamond Point facility in Crawley, West Sussex. The position follows a 4-on, 4-off shift pattern covering four days, four days off, four nights, and four days off.

What you will do

• Perform preventive maintenance, pre-flight and post-flight checks, visual alignments, and complex troubleshooting on flight simulators and associated systems.
• Run and evaluate FAA Approval Test Guide and Qualification Test Guide tests.
• Apply software changes, hardware modifications, refurbishments, and design enhancements to resolve issues and improve simulator performance.
• Record and track maintenance activities, manage parts logistics, and perform repair, testing, and validation tasks.
• Support the engineering and technical services teams with modifications, upgrades, and day-to-day maintenance operations.
• Train technicians in basic and advanced technical skills while developing expertise across multiple simulator systems.

Requirements

• Minimum three years of direct experience working on simulators.
• Fluent English.
• Proficiency with software diagnostics and utilities on at least one simulator type.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to perform in-depth analysis and research for hardware modifications and upgrades.
• Ability to work on-site and follow a rotating 4-on, 4-off day and night shift pattern.
• Ability to collaborate with engineering teams and provide technical training to other technicians.

Nice to have

• Experience with a wide range of test equipment.
• Experience supporting engineering modifications, design changes, and software enhancements.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools and suite.
