Test Systems Commissioning Technician (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Commission bespoke test equipment according to technical requirements, schedules, and budgets.
• Support mechanical and electrical assembly and coordinate between build teams and Design Engineering.
• Lead system integration, formal verification, customer validation, and correlation testing.
• Troubleshoot hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems using schematics and diagnostic tools.
• Document as-built equipment conditions, contribute to verification documentation, and support calibration procedures.
• Integrate hydraulic and electrical services while championing health and safety during commissioning.

Requirements

• HNC, HND, or equivalent qualification in Electronics or Mechanical Engineering.
• At least 5 years of experience in aerospace, automotive, or another complex engineering environment.
• Proven experience commissioning test systems or test equipment.
• Ability to interpret and troubleshoot electrical and hydraulic schematics.
• Apprenticeship-trained background is advantageous.
• Experience with DOORS, Subversion/JIRA, Teamcenter, or NX is beneficial but not required.
