Permit To Work Officer - HVP (Energy)

What you will do

• Administer and coordinate the permit-to-work system across all construction areas.
• Review permits for hot work, cold work, confined-space entry, electrical isolation, excavation, and other controlled activities.
• Verify risk assessments, job safety analyses, and approved isolation plans before work begins.
• Visit work areas to confirm valid permits, safe conditions, and compliance with permit requirements.
• Maintain permit logs, attend daily coordination and PTW meetings, and support audits, toolbox talks, and incident investigations.
• Coordinate with operations, maintenance, construction, HSE, project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders; stop or escalate unsafe work when required.

Requirements

• Good communication and interpersonal skills for working within a large multidisciplinary project team.
• Suitable IT skills, including MS Office and Navisworks 2024.
• Self-motivated approach with the ability to meet client deadlines.
• Availability to work onsite at the Carrington, Manchester project location.
