Data Engineer - Senior

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, reusable integration components, and scalable data architectures.
• Develop integrations between operational platforms, including APIs, data exchange processes, ServiceNow integrations, and customer portal data services.
• Support the Corporate IT Transition Programme through data discovery, extraction, transformation, migration planning, reconciliation, and validation.
• Support operational reporting platforms, develop data services, investigate production data issues, and implement enhancements.
• Develop data quality controls, monitor data integrity, maintain metadata, and support information governance.
• Prepare structured datasets and data services for AI solutions, intelligent automation, dashboards, and analytics.

Requirements

• Significant experience in data engineering, enterprise data pipelines, SQL, and ETL/ELT.
• Experience with enterprise integrations, data modelling, operational reporting, and data quality practices.
• Strong analytical and stakeholder management skills.
• Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Ability to work in a hybrid role based in Melbourne, Australia.

Nice to have

• Experience with Azure or AWS data platforms, Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, Power BI, or Python.
• Experience preparing data for AI solutions and supporting ServiceNow integrations.
• Payments or financial services experience.
• Microsoft Data Engineering, Azure Data Engineer Associate, AWS Data Analytics, or Agile certification.
