Java Developer - Client Central Technology (Java/Angular)

Salary: $135,000–$155,000 per year

What you will do

• Modernize a legacy system into a scalable, future-ready platform for internal client-service representatives.
• Design and deliver modern web platforms integrating Angular user interfaces with Java-driven services.
• Lead smaller initiatives end-to-end, from translating requirements into scalable designs through production delivery.
• Build internal frameworks and contribute to AI-enabled capabilities that improve engineering productivity and business workflows.
• Collaborate with engineers, product owners, and architects while coordinating dependencies across distributed Agile teams.
• Mentor junior engineers and support team capability growth through knowledge sharing and feedback.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
• 6+ years building large-scale, highly available systems with Java, Spring, cloud development, and web services.
• 4+ years working with containers, microservices, Angular, and CI/CD pipelines.
• 2+ years of experience with PCF, AWS, and/or GCP, plus databases such as MongoDB, Aerospike, Redis, and SQL Server.
• Strong object-oriented design, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and dependency-management skills.
• Ability to work on site in Southlake, Texas.

Nice to have

• Experience with modern distributed-system architecture, design patterns, and .NET technologies.
• Familiarity with AI-enabled development tools, TDD, QA automation, and quality-first engineering.
• Experience in financial services or other highly regulated industries.
• Experience creating technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and design specifications.
• Experience with Agile tools such as Jira and Confluence.
