Employee Relations Advisor (12 months FTC)

What you will do

• Provide clear, practical employee relations advice aligned with people policies and procedures.
• Handle high-volume ER queries, escalate complex matters and maintain accurate employee records in HR systems.
• Analyse case information to identify themes, risks and improvement opportunities.
• Organise and prioritise workload to meet service level agreements.
• Support continuous improvement across the ER team and coach managers on HR processes and best practice.
• Build positive relationships with stakeholders, HR colleagues and union partners.

Requirements

• Experience handling high-volume HR or employee relations queries across multiple channels.
• Sound understanding of employment legislation, HR policies and procedures.
• Strong communication, judgement, analytical, organisation and stakeholder relationship skills.
• Customer-focused approach with commitment to fair and consistent outcomes.
• CIPD Level 3 qualification or equivalent demonstrable experience.
• Ability to work in the hybrid Cardiff role.
