Senior Software Engineer (AI)

Location: United States, Remote

Salary: $190,000–$230,000 per year, depending on U.S. labor market, location, skills, and experience.

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain user experiences for external and internal customers.
• Develop business-critical foundational services that serve as the data funnel for the platform.
• Improve complex processes and systems to increase robustness and reduce manual intervention.
• Build reliable, observable, maintainable, and scalable systems with strong auditability.
• Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders, own technical domains, make engineering tradeoffs, and mentor engineers through detailed code reviews.
• Direct AI agents across prototyping, implementation, debugging, and code review while identifying opportunities for AI-driven automation and quality improvements.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience building and maintaining production software.
• Experience or strong interest in Node, TypeScript, Kotlin, React, AWS, PostgreSQL, and Kafka.
• Proficiency with AI coding assistants such as Codex, Claude Code, or Cursor.
• Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Willingness to learn, think creatively, share knowledge, and solve customer problems proactively.
• Previous startup and/or fintech experience, plus an interest in mentoring engineers and reviewing code deeply.
