Staff Software Developer (AI)

Salary: $170,000–$220,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Lead the design, architecture, and delivery of platform capabilities in an agile environment.
• Build, maintain, and support foundational services for federated GraphQL APIs, event-driven architecture, and regulatory compliance tooling.
• Drive integrations with internal services and collaborate with engineering teams and stakeholders across the organization.
• Support customer-facing applications by defining scope, contributing to technical specifications, reviewing designs and code, and identifying edge cases and performance improvements.
• Develop, scale, and optimize gRPC endpoints, GraphQL APIs, and SQL queries.
• Own monitoring, alerting, incident response, systemic risk reduction, and technical mentorship across the organization.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in software engineering and a track record of owning complex systems end to end.
• Experience working across a polyglot codebase including Elixir, Java, Rust, and TypeScript.
• Strong foundation in computer science, including data structures, distributed systems, algorithms, and software design.
• Strong experience with relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL, plus caching strategies and testing frameworks such as ExUnit, RSpec, Jest, or pytest.
• Experience with Kubernetes and high-throughput or real-time domains such as sports betting, gaming, or financial services.
• Experience with AI and the ability to uphold high standards for code quality and architecture.
