Associate | Building Consultancy

Location: Brisbane, Queensland, Australia; travel across Australia and New Zealand is required as needed.

What you will do

• Deliver technical building consultancy services, including technical due diligence, building condition assessments, asset lifecycle planning, strategic asset management plans, capital works forecasting, insurance assessments, and make good assessments.
• Conduct building and asset inspections across Australia and New Zealand.
• Prepare technical reports, recommendations, cost forecasts, and scopes of work for repair, refurbishment, replacement, and maintenance projects.
• Manage projects from assessment through delivery while supporting governance, quality assurance, and operational excellence.
• Build client relationships, support retention, identify new business opportunities, and contribute to proposals and tenders.
• Collaborate with internal service lines and mentor junior team members.

Requirements

• Approximately 15+ years of experience in property, construction, building consultancy, engineering, quantity surveying, building surveying, or related advisory services.
• Demonstrated success managing complex projects from inception through completion.
• Strong stakeholder engagement, client relationship management, commercial, procurement, and business development skills.
• Experience preparing technical reports and presenting recommendations to clients.
• Degree in Building Surveying, Building Engineering, Services Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
• Ability to travel across Australia and New Zealand as required.

Nice to have

• Professional accreditation such as RICS, AIQS, AIPM, CIBSE, Engineers Australia, CIOB, or equivalent.
