Senior Fire Protection Engineer

Location: Based in the Sydney office, Australia; flexible work arrangements including work from home are available. Australian citizenship is required due to the focus on defence projects.

What you will do

• Lead the design and delivery of complex fire protection systems across major infrastructure, building, and defence projects.
• Provide technical leadership and quality assurance for fire services designs, calculations, specifications, reports, and documentation.
• Review and approve engineering deliverables produced by project team members.
• Act as a key client interface and trusted technical advisor.
• Support bids, business development, project planning, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers and designers within the Fire Protection team.

Requirements

• Australian citizenship is required.
• Extensive experience designing, reviewing, and delivering wet and dry fire services systems.
• NSW Wet and Dry Fire Accreditation, including FPAS, FSD Accreditation, C14/C8 Registered Certifier, or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of the National Construction Code, Australian Standards, and fire protection industry requirements.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical or a related discipline, plus Chartered Professional Engineer status or active progress toward chartership.
• Experience leading technical delivery, managing client relationships, coordinating multidisciplinary design, and mentoring engineers and designers.

• Working knowledge of Revit MEP.
