What you will do

• Lead mechanical engineering design activities from concept development through detailed design, construction support, and commissioning.
• Define scopes of work, contribute technical input to project planning, and develop engineering solutions for industrial facilities and process infrastructure.
• Prepare and review designs, technical specifications, equipment selections, vendor documentation, submissions, and shop drawings.
• Provide assurance of contractor-produced designs and support construction through site inspections, testing, and commissioning reviews.
• Coordinate client and multidisciplinary project requirements while building strong client relationships.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to engineering standards, tools, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Australian citizenship is required.
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain a Baseline Defence Security Clearance is required.
• ITAR eligibility is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
• Strong experience in mechanical engineering design and project delivery, including gas storage, gas supply infrastructure, and piping systems.
• Knowledge of relevant Australian standards, stakeholder coordination, and technical leadership; Chartered status or the ability to obtain Chartership.
