Company

hirify.global designs, builds, and operates LEO satellite constellations and provides integrated space systems for climate monitoring, national security, and Earth intelligence.

What you will do

  • Capture and flow down requirements for solar arrays, solar array drive assemblies, hold-down and release mechanisms, hinges, dampers, and latches.
  • Build and maintain requirements verification and traceability matrices and represent verification at PDR, CDR, TRR, and MRR reviews.
  • Develop qualification, acceptance, and protoqualification test plans, including test levels, margins, instrumentation, fixtures, and success criteria.
  • Coordinate and execute vibration, TVAC, thermal cycling, shock, gravity-offloaded deployment, and mechanism life-testing campaigns.
  • Capture, reduce, and report test data; author qualification and acceptance data packages.
  • Manage test anomalies and nonconformances, drive root-cause and corrective-action closure, and contribute to FMECA and single-point-failure analysis.

Requirements

  • 5+ years developing, building, or testing complex, high-reliability hardware, including 3+ years in requirements management, verification, or qualification.
  • Experience with requirements traceability and structured verification, such as RVTM or medical-device design controls and DHF.
  • Experience planning or executing qualification, acceptance, or environmental test campaigns.
  • Strong understanding of test, analysis, inspection, and demonstration verification methods.
  • Hands-on experience with test procedures, fixtures, instrumentation, data capture, and reporting, plus excellent technical documentation skills.
  • B.S. or higher in Mechanical, Electrical, Systems, Biomedical, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field. Access to export-controlled information requires U.S. person status or eligibility for access or export authorization.

Nice to have

  • Spaceflight hardware qualification experience involving mechanisms, arrays, or structures.
  • Familiarity with NASA-STD-5017, GEVS, ECSS, MIL-STD-810, or MIL-STD-1540.
  • Experience with DOORS, Jama, reliability engineering, FMECA, single-point-failure analysis, or gravity-offload deployment testing.
  • Medical-device or other regulated-industry experience with ISO 13485/14971 and IQ/OQ/PQ.
  • Python, MATLAB, or similar software experience for test-data reduction.

Culture & Benefits

  • Full-time employees receive equity compensation.
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) retirement plan, disability coverage, and life insurance.
  • Three weeks of paid vacation for new employees, 12 paid holidays, unlimited sick time, and paid parental leave.
