Finance Leader (AI)

Location: Remote in Argentina, Brazil, Peru, Mexico, Chile, or Uruguay; some overlap preferred with Pacific Time.

Global media and entertainment business operating across film, television, gaming, comic book publishing, licensing, and related intellectual property.

What you will do

• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, cash flow planning, and monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, IRS requirements, SEC reporting, and SOX where applicable.
• Guide bookkeepers and finance support staff on transaction coding, accounting treatment, and tax structure.
• Modernize finance processes through automation, workflow redesign, and scalable accounting controls.
• Research and implement AI-powered finance technology to improve reporting, forecasting, accuracy, and decision-making.
• Present financial insights and recommendations to leadership while assessing data integrity, privacy, and audit-trail implications of new tools.

Requirements

• Strong experience in U.S. accounting, financial compliance, and reporting.
• Solid knowledge of U.S. GAAP and IRS regulations, with general U.S. financial controls experience; SEC reporting and SOX exposure is beneficial.
• Experience working with U.S.-based entities and advising on accounting treatment, financial structure, and compliance decisions.
• Ability to guide bookkeepers and finance support staff and ensure transactions are classified and managed correctly.
• Experience improving finance processes, reporting workflows, and planning practices.
• Strategic thinking, ownership, communication skills, and openness to AI tools, automation, and modern finance systems.

Nice to have

• CPA or equivalent U.S. accounting certification or background.
• Experience with multi-entity or multi-state U.S. businesses.
• Experience implementing financial systems, automation, or AI-enabled finance tools.
