Director, Legal Operating Model, AI & Transformation (AI)

Location: Westlake, TX, United States; hybrid work with regular in-person attendance

Salary: USD $139,600–$280,000 per year, plus bonus or incentive opportunities

What you will do

• Translate Legal & Government Affairs strategy into executable plans, milestones, accountability structures, and measurable outcomes.
• Coordinate complex cross-functional initiatives across legal, compliance, risk, technology, operations, government affairs, and business teams.
• Develop and execute a responsible AI adoption strategy for legal workflows, research, drafting, knowledge management, risk assessment, and service delivery.
• Redesign legal service delivery models by simplifying, standardizing, automating, centralizing, delegating, or restructuring work.
• Build legal knowledge-management capabilities, including guidance repositories, precedents, templates, playbooks, and AI-enabled access to information.
• Create dashboards, scorecards, metrics, and reporting frameworks to measure legal quality, service effectiveness, AI impact, adoption, and business outcomes.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience leading transformation, operations, technology, AI, legal operations, consulting, service delivery, or organizational effectiveness initiatives.
• Demonstrated success delivering large-scale cross-functional initiatives from concept through measurable results.
• Experience driving execution, accountability, organizational adoption, and change management through influence rather than direct authority.
• Deep understanding of legal service delivery and legal department operations.
• Understanding of AI applications, governance, risks, adoption strategies, process improvement, operational excellence, and performance management.
• Experience supporting legal departments, law firms, regulated industries, professional services organizations, or similarly complex environments.
