Associate Wireless Network Engineer (Hudson Valley, NY Region - Middletown, Newburgh, Beacon, Wappingers Falls, Poughkeepsie, NY)

Location: Remote from the Hudson Valley, New York region, including Middletown, Newburgh, Beacon, Wappingers Falls, and Poughkeepsie; 30–40% travel required.

What you will do

• Assist with designing, deploying, and supporting enterprise wireless networks across healthcare, manufacturing, retail, public venue, and corporate environments.
• Support wireless assessments and predictive designs using Ekahau AI Pro or similar tools.
• Participate in discovery meetings, whiteboarding sessions, and detailed design discussions with clients and project teams.
• Document technical solutions and contribute to project deliverables.
• Troubleshoot wireless networking challenges and provide technical support.
• Travel locally and nationwide to client sites as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree, equivalent work experience, or military experience.
• 1–2 years of wireless networking or IT infrastructure experience, including relevant military service, internships, or training.
• Foundational knowledge of Wi-Fi, RF behavior, wireless security protocols, LAN/WAN networking, VLANs, DHCP, and DNS.
• Familiarity with Cisco, Meraki, HPE Aruba, or Mist wireless platforms.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a client-friendly and team-oriented approach.
• Must be a US citizen.

Nice to have

• Exposure to Ekahau AI Pro or similar wireless planning tools.
• CWNA certification or willingness to pursue it.
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to a fast-paced consulting environment.
