Network Engineer (Aruba WLAN)

Location: Hybrid, with an expectation to work an average of 2 days per week from an HPE office; customer engagements are aligned to Americas business hours.

What you will do

• Design, deploy, and support enterprise HPE Aruba WLAN solutions, including access points, mobility gateways, Aruba Central, ClearPass, AirWave, and related management platforms.
• Perform wireless troubleshooting covering RF analysis, client connectivity, roaming behavior, packet captures, and performance optimization.
• Assist with RF design, site surveys, and capacity planning for reliable wireless coverage and performance.
• Review WLAN, ClearPass, and AirWave configurations against HPE Support and Engineering standards.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, services, and support teams to resolve customer issues and improve solution quality.
• Participate in customer-impacting incidents and escalations, document solutions, and share knowledge with the support team.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 2 years of experience in enterprise networking and/or WLAN environments.
• Working knowledge of HPE Aruba access points, controllers or gateways, and Aruba Central.
• Understanding of IEEE 802.11 fundamentals, RF concepts, and wireless security principles including WPA2/WPA3 and 802.1X.
• Experience or exposure to wireless troubleshooting tools, packet captures, and spectrum analysis, plus strong analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to support customer engagements aligned with Americas time-zone operations and work a differential schedule.

Nice to have

• HPE Aruba certifications such as ACMA, ACMP, ACA, ACP, ACNSA, or ACNSP.
• CWNA or an equivalent entry-level or associate wireless certification.
