Automation QA Engineer (Playwright)

What you will do

• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for healthcare applications, HL7 interfaces, and claims-processing modules.
• Design, build, maintain, and stabilize Playwright end-to-end regression suites for claims, enrollment, and member portal workflows.
• Validate inbound and outbound HL7 message flows, including parsing, mapping, acknowledgments, and interface integrations.
• Test claims submission, adjudication, remittance, denials, enrollment, and eligibility workflows end to end.
• Validate healthcare EDI transaction sets and perform functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing.
• Document and track defects through resolution while collaborating with developers, business analysts, and product owners.

Requirements

• 3+ years of test automation experience, including at least 1 year building Playwright suites.
• Hands-on Playwright experience with TypeScript, JavaScript, or Python.
• Strong knowledge of HL7 v2.x message types and interface testing.
• Understanding of the medical claims lifecycle, including enrollment, eligibility, submission, adjudication, and remittance.
• Experience with healthcare EDI transactions such as X12 837P/837I, 835, 270/271, and 276/277.
• Proficiency with test management and defect-tracking tools.

Nice to have

• Experience with HL7 FHIR or other interoperability frameworks.
• SQL knowledge for data validation and backend verification.
• Knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, or HCPCS coding systems.
• Experience integrating Playwright suites into CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.
• API-level test automation experience and understanding of HIPAA privacy and security requirements.
