Software Engineer (C++/Kotlin/Java, AR)

Location: Bellevue, Los Angeles, or Palo Alto; office work expected 4+ days per week

Salary: $209,000–$313,000 annually for Zone A locations; equity through RSUs

What you will do

• Design, improve, and support reusable components, interactions, frameworks, and SDKs for immersive experiences on Spectacles AR glasses.
• Develop components of hirify.globalOS, the operating system powering Spectacles.
• Build performant and scalable code supported by unit and functional testing.
• Participate in code and design reviews.
• Collaborate with design, interactive engineering, and product teams to shape and launch products.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of software development experience.
• Experience with one or more object-oriented languages, such as C++, Kotlin, or Java.
• Experience delivering high-quality, performant, and scalable code with extensive unit and functional testing.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work in an office 4+ days per week in Bellevue, Los Angeles, or Palo Alto.

Nice to have

• 7+ years of experience building and shipping high-performance code.
• Experience with operating systems, resource-constrained devices, or 3D graphics.
• Experience designing SDKs, APIs, and platforms.
