Solution Engineer (Data Cloud)

Location: Remote, must be based in the Ohio Valley, United States. Approximately 30% travel is expected.

Estimated base salary: $165,000–$216,562 per year, plus equity and commission.

What you will do

• Present Snowflake technology and vision to executives and technical contributors at prospective and existing customers.
• Demonstrate Snowflake technology and communicate its value throughout the sales cycle, from initial demonstrations through proof of concept, design, and implementation.
• Work with sales teams and channel partners to understand customer needs, develop winning sales strategies, and close enterprise deals.
• Discover customer architecture frameworks and connect business problems with Snowflake data architecture solutions.
• Track competitive and complementary database, data warehouse, ETL, analytics, and cloud technologies.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing to improve products and marketing.

Requirements

• 7–8 years of industry experience, including at least 5 years in a pre-sales environment.
• Outstanding presentation skills for both technical and executive audiences, including impromptu whiteboarding, presentations, and demonstrations.
• Broad experience with large-scale database and data warehouse technologies, ETL, analytics, and cloud technologies such as data lakes, data mesh, and data fabric.
• Hands-on expertise with SQL, SQL analytics, and Python.
• Ability to connect customer business problems with Snowflake solutions and conduct in-depth discovery of customer architectures.
• University degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent experience preferred.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in data science or business administration.
• Experience working with global systems integrators such as EY, Deloitte, or Accenture.
