Senior UX Designer (AI)

Location: Hybrid role based in Austin, TX or San Francisco, CA

Salary: $130,000–$160,000 per year

What you will do

• Own and evolve UX strategy, standards, and channel guidance for digital marketing experiences.
• Translate marketing goals, client needs, content strategy, accessibility requirements, AI opportunities, and front-end considerations into practical experience guidance.
• Create reusable patterns, templates, modules, frameworks, and best practices for scalable delivery.
• Define and maintain design system guidance covering components, interaction patterns, responsive behavior, accessibility, and channel standards.
• Use HTML and CSS to validate design feasibility and collaborate with engineering teams on Java-based applications and platforms.
• Partner with marketing, content, product, technology, analytics, legal, compliance, vendors, and channel teams to align decisions and drive adoption of standards.

Requirements

• 8+ years of relevant experience in UX design, digital marketing experience, interaction design, product design, content strategy, front-end experience design, or equivalent roles.
• Experience leading UX or experience standards across web, email, and mobile channels.
• Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, responsive behavior, accessibility, information architecture, taxonomy, interaction patterns, and content strategy.
• Working knowledge of Java or Java-based web application environments and the ability to collaborate with engineering teams.
• Experience with design systems and proficiency in Figma, including applied use of AI tools or AI-enabled workflows.
• Online portfolio demonstrating design thinking, problem-solving, client-centered digital outcomes, and implementation-aware design decisions.

Nice to have

• Experience creating marketing standards, templates, reusable components, or channel guidance at scale.
• Experience with high-fidelity prototypes, annotated specifications, or implementation-ready documentation for responsive web and email.
• Familiarity with Sanity, Vercel, front-end frameworks, component libraries, APIs, or enterprise technology constraints.
• Experience in financial services, regulated industries, complex enterprises, or large matrixed organizations.
• Ability to mentor designers and support adoption of new standards, tools, and technical collaboration practices.
