Principal UX Designer (Cybersecurity)

Location: Bellevue, Washington, in the Seattle area; hybrid rhythm preferred, with fully remote candidates considered

Salary: $174,000–$218,000 annual base salary, plus equity and bonus opportunities

What you will do

• Lead design projects from early strategy through interaction models, workflows, prototypes, and delivery.
• Guide design for a significant product area and establish a high standard for craft and collaboration.
• Partner with product and engineering leadership to facilitate design reviews and ensure designs are feasible and accurately implemented.
• Mentor junior designers on craft, process, and design practices.
• Evaluate emerging design practices and AI-assisted workflows for product design.
• Evolve the hirify.global Design System and influence design standards across the broader product organization.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience as a Product Designer or UX Designer, including ownership of complex product areas end-to-end.
• Portfolio demonstrating design leadership and solutions to complex, cross-functional, or ambiguous problems.
• Deep expertise in interaction design and user experience principles.
• Strong leadership, project management, communication, and stakeholder presentation skills.
• High proficiency with Figma and modern design and prototyping tools.
• Hands-on experience using AI-assisted tools for prototyping, research synthesis, or design-to-code handoff.

Nice to have

• Experience in cybersecurity, identity governance, or privileged access management.
• Experience partnering with UX researchers on complex, multi-phase research programs.
• Experience designing data visualizations, dashboards, or other data-dense products.
• Responsive, cross-platform design experience across web, administrative, and mobile surfaces.
