Technical Project Manager

Location: Remote - Canada

Salary: $115,000–$147,000 CAD annually, plus potential annual bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Map and maintain cross-team dependencies, sequencing, and critical paths for complex software initiatives.
• Identify hidden dependencies and flag risks when changes affect other teams' timelines.
• Coordinate engineering, product, design, data, legal, leadership, and other stakeholders throughout delivery.
• Follow architecture, infrastructure, API, and build-versus-buy discussions to assess impacts on scope and sequencing.
• Document dependencies, specifications, decisions, and timelines so project context remains accessible.
• Distill complex project status, risks, and timeline drivers into concise updates for non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience managing complex, multi-team software projects with multiple workstreams and stakeholders.
• Strong systems and dependency-thinking skills across teams without a single owner.
• Technical fluency sufficient to follow architecture diagrams, system tradeoffs, and sprint planning discussions.
• Strong written communication and the ability to explain complex dependencies to non-technical audiences.
• Proactive execution, comfort with ambiguity, and the ability to drive clarity without a fully defined process.
• Cross-functional credibility with engineers, product managers, designers, and executives.

Nice to have

• Prior experience as a software engineer, QA professional, or technical analyst.
• Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies and tools such as Jira, Linear, or Shortcut.
• Experience running programs coordinated across multiple teams toward a shared outcome.
• Experience working with distributed or remote engineering teams.
