Location: Greater Seattle Area, United States. Applicants must be U.S. citizens or nationals, U.S. permanent residents, or lawfully admitted refugees or asylees under export control regulations.
Base pay range for Washington applicants: $169,347–$237,085.80 annually. Colorado range: $155,713–$217,997.85 annually.
Company
develops reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles and systems and is developing TeraWave, a multi-orbit satellite communications network with optically interconnected LEO and MEO satellites.
What you will do
- Lead end-to-end program management for TeraWave spacecraft systems from concept through deployment and operation.
- Create program plans, schedules, resource allocations, budgets, and financial tracking across spacecraft engineering disciplines.
- Coordinate dependencies across thermal, propulsion, avionics, structures, GNC, EPS, electrical systems, and flight software teams.
- Drive technical decisions for spacecraft architecture and system solutions focused on performance, reliability, and manufacturability.
- Manage technical risks, reviews, milestones, integration, verification, validation, and testing activities.
- Manage vendors and third-party integrations supporting spacecraft system capabilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in aerospace, mechanical, electrical engineering, or a related technical field.
- 7+ years of technical program management experience with complex spacecraft or satellite systems.
- Experience managing spacecraft systems across the full lifecycle, from conception through deployment.
- Strong understanding of spacecraft systems engineering, risk management, resource planning, and schedule development.
- Ability to lead cross-functional engineering teams in a complex matrix organization.
- U.S. citizenship, permanent residency, refugee status, or asylum status required.
Nice to have
- Master’s degree or higher in aerospace engineering, systems engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with communications satellites, payloads, spacecraft subsystems, or first-of-kind systems.
- Experience with Agile, Scrum, AI&T planning, requirements management, and prototype-to-production transitions.
- Knowledge of verification and validation for high-reliability spacecraft systems.
