Product Line Manager (UAS)

Location: Simi Valley, California, United States; onsite work in an office and R&D environment

Salary: $111,000–$169,250 per year

What you will do

• Own and manage a UAS product line across its full lifecycle, from planning and production through release, sustainment, and retirement.
• Develop go-to-market plans and balance customer, business, technical, and product lifecycle needs.
• Collaborate with Marketing and Business Development on pricing, promotion, placement, and product features.
• Translate customer concepts of operations and problem statements into technical requirements, business requirements, user stories, and product priorities.
• Manage product line R&D and sustainment budgets, assess risks, and support mitigation and contingency planning.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Operations, Program Management, Senior Product Line Management, executives, and customers to support product introduction and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• 8–12 years of experience in a technical development environment, including R&D and product sustainment.
• Knowledge of UAS systems and products, with experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience with defense products and customers, department or project budgets, and Profit/Loss management.
• Experience managing the work of others and demonstrated ownership, critical thinking, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Must qualify as a U.S. person under ITAR/EAR requirements or be eligible for an export license; some contracts may require current U.S. citizenship.
