Quality Engineering Manager (Aerospace)

Location: Onsite in Buffalo, NY / East Aurora, NY

Salary: $125,000–$175,000 annually

What you will do

• Lead, develop, and mentor the Quality Engineering team for Electronic Operations.
• Set and achieve quality objectives, including reducing Cost of Poor Quality, nonconformances, and improving New Product Introduction readiness.
• Partner with supply chain, engineering, manufacturing, inspection, customers, and government representatives to improve product quality and operational performance.
• Drive proactive quality initiatives, supplier risk mitigation, investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with customer, regulatory, government, defense contract, and company quality requirements.
• Manage inspection and quality control plans, contract reviews, audits, management reviews, and department operating and capital budgets.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering required; a master's degree is preferred.
• 10+ years of engineering, quality, or manufacturing experience in a regulated industry.
• At least 2 years of people leadership or supervisory experience.
• Strong knowledge of quality systems, statistical methods, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement.
• Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, Statistical Process Control, Design of Experiments, and other quality improvement methods.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and work with customers, regulatory agencies, and government contract requirements.
