Business Architect (Smart Processing)

Location: On-site in Westlake, Texas or Austin, Texas

Salary: USD 150,000–185,000 per year, plus bonus or incentive opportunities

What you will do

• Translate Smart Processing strategy and product vision into functional initiatives, epics, user stories, and initiative-level acceptance criteria.
• Create functional system interaction diagrams, user-system interaction flows, process maps, and other requirements artifacts.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Product Owners, Business Analysts, process experts, and up to 5–8 Scrum Teams across Digital, CRM, BPM, middleware, and mainframe platforms.
• Support PI Planning, backlog health, release planning, development, testing, and implementation.
• Identify technology and design issues, remove impediments, and coordinate resolutions across teams and stakeholders.
• Develop solutions that improve service experience, operational efficiency, automation, scalability, and future AI and Machine Learning capabilities.

Requirements

• Experience documenting requirements for large, end-to-end initiatives involving multiple enterprise technology teams.
• Proven experience as a Business Architect delivering strategic business process requirements for large-scale software solutions.
• Strong knowledge of Agile practices, including epics, themes, user stories, supplementary requirements, and business rules.
• Proficiency with Github Copilot, JIRA, Confluence, and process mapping tools.
• Advanced problem-solving, analytical, technical, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a technical field; 5+ years of technical analysis or operations experience in asset or investment management with a data-related focus is highly preferred.
