EDW Application Architect, Sr (Banking)

Location: Columbus, OH, United States. Workplace type: Office; specific work arrangements will be provided by the hiring team.

Salary: $93,000–$189,000 per year, plus eligibility for applicable incentive compensation.

What you will do

• Lead the architectural design and development of Enterprise Data Warehouse applications.
• Translate business and technical requirements into comprehensive application architecture solutions.
• Create and maintain system diagrams, technical specifications, design patterns, and architecture strategy documentation.
• Provide technical guidance, mentorship, code review support, and troubleshooting assistance to development and technical delivery teams.
• Evaluate tools, frameworks, and technologies that improve the efficiency, scalability, security, and performance of data applications.
• Collaborate with enterprise architects and stakeholders on technology alignment, system integration, process optimization, and user experience improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 7+ years of experience in software engineering.
• 5+ years of application architecture, design, and development experience in commercial banking or financial services preferred.
• Knowledge of software architecture patterns, data warehousing, and cloud technologies such as AWS and Snowflake.
• Strong understanding of security practices, data protection, and banking compliance standards.
• Strong analytical, decision-making, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and delivering complex projects on time.
