Manager, Government Affairs and Weather Enterprise Partnerships (Weather)

Location: State College, Pennsylvania, or remote within the United States; travel up to 30%, including Washington, D.C., conferences, and potential international events

What you will do

• Represent hirify.global before Congress, federal agencies, committees, and professional staff.
• Develop congressional outreach and advocacy strategies and monitor legislation, regulations, hearings, and policy developments.
• Prepare testimony, policy papers, briefing materials, formal comments, and legislative tracking reports.
• Manage hirify.global’s relationships with the American Meteorological Society and integrate company expertise into publications, committees, certifications, and conferences.
• Lead engagement with weather industry associations including NWA, AWCIA, WMO, PRIMET, and HMEI.
• Collaborate with communications, marketing, legal, and executive leadership teams to develop external messaging and partnership opportunities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in political science, public policy, communications, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in government affairs, public policy, legislative advocacy, or a related field.
• Knowledge of and passion for the weather industry, meteorological sciences, and the public/private weather enterprise.
• Experience developing advocacy strategies, policy platforms, or legislative campaigns.
• Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, advocacy, organizational, and stakeholder relationship skills.
• Willingness and ability to travel regularly to Washington, D.C., and major industry conferences.

Nice to have

• Existing relationships with Congressional staff, Members of Congress, or relevant federal agencies.
• Experience with professional scientific societies such as AMS or NWA.
• Meteorology knowledge or background.
• Understanding of hirify.global’s mission, products, and position in the global weather enterprise.
